no rallies?

Police officials have warned that protesters who will join street rallies commemorating the 20th anniversary of Edsa 1 will face the threat of forced dispersal.

POLICE will not allow street protests in Metro Manila on Friday, an official said, after the military thwarted a plot to unseat President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

"All street rallies are not allowed today to prevent any breach of peace," Metro Manila police chief Director Vidal Querol said in a text message.
