After being wowed by the World of Warcraft open beta, I'm feeling withdrawal symptoms since I haven't gotten my hands yet on the retail game. WoW was launched in North America, Australia and New Zealand on Nov. 23.
Now you know one of the things on my Christmas wish list.

If your school org has an upcoming event, e-mail me the details and pics (please send as JPEG attachments and include brief captions) and I'll see if we can use them for Cross-Campus.

Sam loves this PC game -- she can manipulate the mouse to make the boat turn left and right and even round corners. But she also giggles while trying to run over pedestrians and her boating instructor, Mrs. Puff the puffer fish.
That's RJ Maclang, formerly of Intel and now sales and marketing director of Netgames, the Philippine publisher of the Khan massively multiplayer online game. Saw him again after a long while when we had a meeting this afternoon at the Netgames office. I've known RJ from way back during the days of the first HP-Intel Synergy event at El Nido, when Pia Guanio was still an associate editor of an Internet lifestyle magazine and joined us in Palawan.

This town ain't big enough for all of us. Can't really show screenshots from this chapter, unless you fancy lots of chopped headcrabs, zombies (both the regular and fast kind), plus plenty of rotting corpses. Didn't think so, heh. All I can say about Ravenholm is that it's fun to slice and dice by using the grav gun on the buzzsaw blades, and zombies make great flambe.
