our own little way
We just found out that one of Ellen's friends, Carla Paras-Sison, whom she's known since way back during her first job at BPI, is undergoing chemotherapy as she battles breast cancer (Stage III B).
Carla is a talented writer who used to work for BusinessWorld, and I met her a few times when she was already with Benpres and the Lopez Group. Carla's husband is Norman Sison of The Philippine Star and they have two kids: Gino, 9, and Dana, 5. She is an award-winning journalist whose articles have appeared in different publications, including The Philippine Star.
Please pray for her swift recovery, and if you can, please visit Our Own Little Way to learn more about Carla's condition and find out how you can help raise funds for Carla's treatment. Our friend, Gul Murjani, who has known Carla for 15 years, came up with the site and is hosting it for free.
This is not a scam. It's not meant to impose a burden on anyone, but please take the time to visit the site and maybe donate what you can. And please pray for her and her family.
